Two weeks into the construction of the new Adventure Golf course for Lichfield Council, and progress is already evident on site. The course outline has been fully marked, and much of the substrate has been laid, forming the solid foundations for each hole. Our project team have completed the bulk earthworks and sub-base compaction, and drainage routes have been installed to ensure long-term resilience. This early stage sets the structural framework that allows subsequent sculpting, surfacing and feature installation to proceed smoothly and on schedule.
With the substrate complete across most of the layout, our team is now preparing to install bespoke features and safety edging. The next fortnight will see the shaping of playable contours and the start of synthetic lawn and putting surfaces. Supply deliveries of decorative rockwork, themed obstacles and specialist play materials are on site or en route, and our project manager is coordinating trades to maintain tight sequencing so that there will be minimal downtime between stages.
We’re focused on delivering a durable, low-maintenance facility for Lichfield Council that will attract families, groups and visitors of all ages. The construction methods and materials we’re using are chosen to reduce future upkeep and maximise play availability, making the course a cost-effective long-term asset.
We’ll keep you posted with our progress at Litchfield – look out for photos of the completed course in the near future!
